Activity 1.4
Humans have been developing technology to help them study the heavens for centuries. Since the development of glassmaking and lens grinding in the 1500s, telescopes have advanced significantly. We can now send huge telescopes into space, where they can observe our Universe in a way that isn’t possible from Earth. In this activity, students learn about the history of the telescope and the discoveries we’ve made along the way.
