Activity 1.2
Since ancient times, humans have used stars and planets to monitor the passing of time, to navigate and for cultural and religious ceremonies. Before the invention of the telescope, humans would observe the night sky with the naked eye, recording what they saw. In this activity, students plot the provided points on a four-quadrant axis, to reveal a star pattern that they can observe at night.
